Incident / Arrest Reports

Incident reports can be picked up in person at the Records Bureau window during the business hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:15 p.m., Monday – Friday (except holidays).

Incident reports are only available to individuals that are named in the report as an involved party.  You must present valid photo identification to obtain incident reports. Incident reports are not available via email or fax or mail.

All reports will undergo standard redactions. The information redacted is considered sensitive information relating to the involved parties such as social security numbers, dates of birth, phone numbers, etc.  Reports containing juveniles will have all juvenile information (including names) redacted.

No report will be released until it is complete and approved. If a case is under investigation, the report may be held until investigation is complete.

Arrest reports are only available to the arrestee or via a Discovery Request. Other parties named in an arrest report will not have access.

If an arrest report includes indictable charges, those cases will be handled by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. If the case is remanded to Howell Township Municipal Court then documents may be released by the Records Bureau at that time.
